Applications

Turn Your Ideas into Reality

Cost-effective, capable, and versatile, applications are only limited by imagination. Whether wastewater management, personal safety, industrial telemetry, or the highest quality consumer products, Aurora Wireless Network technology can help turn your great ideas into reality quickly and reliably.

Off the shelf building blocks can be used for both prototyping and production for volumes of 100s or 100s of thousands of units/year. Custom and customized implementations help meet demanding form factors and applications. Licensing as well as fully customized manufacturing programming and test suite options are available. Perhaps most importantly though, Aurora Wireless Network’s technology can deliver an unprecedented combination of range and energy efficiency. Benefiting from this disruptive technology, applications previously impractical are now possible. Here are some examples:

Sewer and Water Level Monitoring:

Getting in and out of a sewer is not only unpleasant but can be challenging and dangerous – especially when the sewer hole cover is in the middle of a busy intersection. Running wires is complicated and expensive. Metal covers, rebar, and impenetrable soil make low power radio solutions impractical and high power options make quick work of a battery. Imagine instead a device powerful enough to not only penetrate the sewer but to propagate 100’s of meters beyond. Imagine that same device energy efficient enough to relay the information back to central control in real-time – all while powered by batteries.

Personal Safety:

In hazardous areas, intrinsic safety can be a major concern. The Lõner 900 can be used for safety monitoring gas detection, lone workers monitoring, data analytics, and evacuation management.  The Lõner 900 automatically detects incidents and enables employees to call for help with 3G and satellite connectivity even in remote locations.

In the videos below, you can see red navigation markers which are data points of locations where endpoints have continuously communicated their GPS information to the MLink. Of course, nothing substitutes for real field experience. Come with us on some rides around the city to get a feel for the coverage you might expect.
